Notes:  SmileDirectClub customers were obtaining their invisible aligners (for straightening their teeth) through the mail each month in an envelope, but when some changes to the business plan occurred, it was decided that customers would receive their entire treatment in one shipment. The goal was to create a box that would neatly fit a 4-12 month aligner treatment, aligner tools, instructions, aligner case, and an 8-day teeth whitening supply – all while making it affordable to ship and shy away from high production costs. The solution ended up being 3 different sized boxes (depending on the treatment size) that closed with a magnetic fastener, vac trays that contained each month’s treatment, and additional items secured into designated areas to eliminate movement during shipping.
